SITC Shipping Line officially entered the Vietnamese market in 2009, based in Ho Chi Minh City. With the aim of providing high-quality freight forwarding and shipping agency services for the intra-Asia market, SITC has become a trusted partner and top choice for many Vietnamese customers.<\/p>\n

Currently, SITC Vietnam operates over 14 routes via Cat Lai Port and 1 route via Cai Mep Port, connecting Vietnam to more than 8 countries and over 30 international ports.<\/p>\n

SITC is now one of China’s leading shipping lines, ranking 16th globally in terms of transport capacity. With a total fleet capacity of approximately 141,000 TEU, SITC accounts for 0.6% of the global market share (according to Alphaliner, May 2021).<\/p>\n

The SITC fleet is primarily newly built with an average age of less than 8 years. In addition to standard containers, SITC also caters to diverse customer needs with special container types such as open-top containers, reefer containers, tank containers, etc.<\/p>\n

Due to the increasing demand for container re-use, SITC will start imposing a re-use fee from October 1, 2024, with the following rates:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

Some notes on using re-use containers:<\/p>\n

  1. Free time at the port of export for re-use containers is 7 days (including the sailing date, calculated from the date of re-use fee payment to the sailing date).<\/li>\n
  2. Customers need to provide the handover time of the container between import and export shipments. SITC will update the empty return date and empty pick-up date accordingly. If any DET occurs, SITC will charge additional fees. (For import DET, SITC will charge the importer, and vice versa for export DET).<\/li>\n
  3. For container conditions, customers need to inspect carefully before paying the re-use fee and accepting the container for stuffing. If not satisfied with the container condition, please return it empty as usual. In case of accepting the container, customers will be responsible for any repair costs at the destination port.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
